Step back. You wish to have a spiritual awakening? This is all you need do. You are used to seeing the world as “Just me.” You are used to turning outside of yourself for help. You believe the spiritual search involves looking for something separate from you, even when sages [...]

More, more, more. It is the human way to want more and to not be satisfied with what is here, now. Take, for example, your long-held belief that you cannot eat only one potato chip. If you cannot be satisfied with one, will you be satisfied with two? Likely not. [...]

Trust the plateaus. Every journey involves periods of rest and rejuvenation. And what comes afterwards? More climbing. Yes, the ascents lead to new vistas, new experiences, but along the way there is learning, even during the periods of rest. Do not grow frustrated or frightened when you seem to be [...]

Life goes on. You have your routines … the things that keep you on track, keep you feeling safe and secure. And then something happens to shake things up a bit. Now you feel tension as the pull to return to your routines exerts itself. It is all energy, dear [...]

There is always more to be learned. Just when you think you’ve discovered what makes you tick and what is blocking you from growing, something comes along and stares you in the face. What has caught your attention lately, for it had no reason to pop up when and where [...]

Never give up your efforts to connect across the veil. Why would you? Because you are not feeling a presence? Because you are not receiving messages? What if your breakthrough were to happen the day after you gave up? How would you know? We encourage you to hold onto your [...]

You need to band together. What is a band, but a continuous circle without interruption. It unites all particles into one unit with no beginning and no end. And with this analogy, there is another use of the word band. It is one in which all come together with different [...]

“What can I learn from this person?” This is a most excellent question to ask when you meet another, be they what in human terms you consider superior or inferior. Oh, these terms that separate. By asking, “What can I learn from this person?” you dissolve thoughts of superior and [...]

Seeing and being oneness begins at home. What if there is no me and you, mine and yours in your relationships? What if there is only one unit known as us, flowing together and growing together? What decisions would you make differently? How differently would you act? See those around [...]

There comes a time when you must change direction. The idea you were pursuing that seemed to have merit turns out to have some elements of which you were unaware that may cause greater challenges than you anticipated. As you gain the bigger picture, be willing to abandon one idea [...]

You walk a balance beam between playing your role in human form and maintaining awareness of your more spacious nature as the soul who you eternally are. Do you feel lonely? Lean a bit toward soul awareness. Do you seek guidance? Lean once again to your spacious nature. Of course, [...]

And what if you hung upside down from a tree? How would your view of the world change? Or perhaps you would lie sideways on a bench and watch the world go by. What would that do to your perspective? Do not allow the view your eyes provide you, always [...]

You, by the self to which you and others give a name, can do nothing. You are not a stand-alone being like a cut-out doll. You are part of a flow of Intelligence so vast that the human mind cannot grasp this immensity. In the body, which is part of [...]

You allow yourself to become distracted quite easily. What you see with your eyes is like candy to a baby. You reach for this and that when what you truly seek is beyond all reach, yet as close as your breath. Close your eyes every so often, why don’t you? [...]

A crutch is something you lean on when you are feeling weak. You want to choose a crutch of the highest strength and quality. You use it with the goal of seeking independence so that the crutch is not necessary forever. Higher beings are not crutches. Yes, you may lean [...]

When you have been wearing a necklace that weighs heavily around the neck, you become accustomed to the weight. Only when you take it off do you realize how cumbersome it had become. The same is true even with a pair of light spectacles. Remove them and feel the lightness. [...]

Why do you read these messages at all? Do you realize it is for more than the words? There is an energy that uplifts, that unifies, that helps you find your way Home. What? You did not realize you had wandered off a bit? Of course, you did. That is [...]

They are doing the best they can, those others you may find yourself judging. Can you put yourself in their shoes? Some people cannot, you know. They have not had enough lifetimes to fully understand the human condition. If you can empathize greatly with others, understanding the lack of control [...]

You do not have to go it alone. If only you would remember this. In human goings-on you often feel like the Lone Ranger, bearing your burdens without help. Know that you are both human and spirit and that you have a team of unseen helpers. Call on them and [...]

You imagine two worlds: the physical and the non-physical. You call one “the spirit world.” Do you not realize that you, too, are in the spirit world? Your language limits and distorts your perception of reality. In actuality, you are not “in” the spirit world at all. You are Spirit [...]

When one shares a tale of another’s actions and their opinion of such with you, does it automatically become your own opinion? This is a common way of building separation. Do remember that all stories must go through the filter of the one telling it. Have you not experienced how [...]

When trouble brews, it is because things have become a bit stirred up. Even in the midst of chaos, there is a calm center. Picture your cyclones. No matter how spun up things are, there is always a calm center. Find it through the breath. With intention, find the calm [...]

You have a project to complete. You have ideas of how to proceed, and yet, it is not flowing. Get up from your chair. Do not struggle. If it is not flowing, it is not yet ready to take wings. You are being inspired from a level beyond the project. [...]

The start of a new cycle. Perhaps there is excitement. Perhaps there is trepidation. Perhaps there is a bit of both. Every moment is a new cycle, dear one. Some cycles are more momentous than others. Beginnings and endings are simply markers … waypoints within the endless flow flow flow [...]

This is a state of Awareness, this experience you are having as you read these words. And it is Awareness itself having the experience. A dream is a state of Awareness, and it is Awareness in which the dream arises. That cat is a state of awareness. And it is [...]

Why do children love to blow bubbles? There is something wondrous and magical in not knowing how many will arise from a simple exhale and how big or how small. Do you not know now that you are the exhalation of Spirit? You are the outbreath of a Source that [...]

So many distractions. Look about you. What catches your attention? You may call this a snag. If your attention is always being drawn hither and yon, perhaps if you agree to allow higher beings to snag you with some object in a way that it stands out, they will be [...]

Breaking the mold. This is a necessary step if you wish to grow and step into new territory. Perhaps there is nothing wrong with the old mold. It has served you well, but perhaps it has also outgrown its service. Could there be a new way of doing things? Might [...]

Do you not at times feel overwhelmed? So much to do. So many people asking things of you. So much to think about. Do you know you can take a break anytime you feel this way? “But I don’t have time!” you say, and we are not speaking of running [...]
