Be careful how you claim illnesses and diagnoses. These are visitors in your vehicle, imbalances that you may wish to use as opportunities to clear out that which caused the imbalance. The moment you give a name to this visitor and place it after the two very important words, “I [...]
Picture thoughts like a swirling maelstrom of clouds around a clear, still center. You are not the clouds. You are the Awareness at the center and that in which the clouds appear. When L.I.F.E. pulls you into a state of confusion or tumult, get your head out of the clouds. [...]
“You can’t see the forest through the trees” is a phrase that can be interpreted on several levels. And so, it is with life. You can see life and each other at the tree level, where each one stands as a separate entity and you can widen the lens of [...]
Is the world speeding up? No, if you mean this in the sense of time moving faster. The speed at which individuals process information, however, is increasing due to technology showing you the way. As you use technology to search and integrate information faster and that information comes into [...]
Clouds are a most beneficial way of viewing the patterns of sensations, thoughts, and feelings that can keep you stuck in “only human” mood. These are overlays that literally cloud out the light of Awareness. Yes, you are aware of the trauma and drama, but you can easily lose sight [...]
Be aware of your instant judgment of someone you meet for the first time. The nervous system will connect the way they feel or look to a memory. This memory will bring up sensations, thoughts, and feelings that have to do with the past and may have nothing to do [...]
Perhaps you have heard the statement, “Ask the right question, get the right answer.” And how does one know the right question to ask? By asking beyond the story you are caught up in. Become still, relax with the breath, move awareness to the heart and hara—the very core of [...]
Now you’ve got it! Perhaps not the first time you try something new. Perhaps not the second or even the third. You are a soul experiencing L.I.F.E.* through a human nervous system. Did you learn to walk the first time you stood? Of course not. And perhaps as you have [...]
It’s just a word, that word that makes you cringe when you hear it. And why do you cringe? For you have given it meaning beyond the letters knit together. Perhaps you have heard it said with accompanying energy that causes you to constrict. Perhaps it represents a way [...]
You see actors on a stage in a small-town theater. Perhaps they are very good. Perhaps they dream of being a star - being known around the world. And perhaps this will never happen. And yet, they cannot help but act. Not everyone is meant to achieve great fame, [...]
Regrets. Do you know of any human who does not have them? Of course you cannot know another’s thoughts, but the human experience is universal. You have all done or said things which you wish you could do over or say over. Now the question becomes, do you allow it [...]
Work with what you are given. You say you have a racing mind, then speed up to meet it. You say you cannot sit still to meditate, then walk in the woods as you contemplate your connection with all that is. You say you cannot find time in the morning [...]
“I wish I had followed my intuition.” How often have you said these words? You know there is a knowing within you that often leads to far better outcomes than thinking something through. And yet, you are so accustomed and so trained to trust the brain that you ignore [...]
Perhaps as a child, learning your lessons and sitting through classes was drudgery. But was there not a certain feeling of excitement on the first day (without thinking about the new clothes and shoes and books)? There was the anticipation of new experiences. And that is how we wish [...]
“I was blind, but now I see, the divinity that was always here as you and me.” Are you yet able to make this claim? When and as you are able and do so, you will taste and experience the freedom that the soul knows is your birthright. If you [...]
Do you think a certain activity is emotionally draining? Then you will likely find it to be even more so. Thoughts are quite powerful. And yet, you are not your thoughts. These arise without control. And where do they arise? Not in the head, dear one. That is where [...]
You cannot rush your connection with those who have passed. Why not? For rushing brings on a state of restriction and disharmony born of need and angst. Connection is the result of coherence, allowing your shared resonance to bring those you love into awareness. They are right here, you know. [...]
You may try to control certain situations. You may try to manage them. Whatever you call this, the outcome of any situation remains unknown, most especially if there are interactions with other sentient beings involved. What to do? The serenity prayer, dear one, is your ally in every moment. May [...]
When something does not come out the way you envisioned, be it a project or even words tumbling from the mouth, pause. Now is not the time to weave a story. Now is the time to breathe and drop out of the head and into the heart. Hold awareness [...]
Are you tired of whatever it is that is upsetting you? Pause and examine your thoughts around this issue. What is actually happening here? Can you simply list the facts? When you have this list, pretend that you are giving it to a neutral observer. Then list all of [...]
Recognizing the narrative is the start. Now you have stepped back from the story instead of being so immersed in it that you forget you are a character within it. And once you see from this wider perspective? Now you face choices: Remain caught up in the narrative and [...]
