The Daily Way

What is an analogy or a metaphor but a way to explain something that is challenging to wrap your head around. Now, do you actually wrap your head around anything? Not in a literal sense, of course, and neither are analogies literal, but they are most useful to understand concepts [...]

Set aside the mini “me” and shift to “we.” “What are they talking about?” You may ask of this tribe of guides and inspirers who speak to you through these messages every day, and have you not noticed a common thread? All who read these words—yes, you and you and [...]

“Ask and it is given.” You have heard this phrase and you have seen evidence to the contrary. “I ask all the time, and I don’t get what I want.” Know that the universe does not respond to desperation. It aligns with coherence, which is a state in which there [...]

Static in the signal. You know what this is like when attempting to tune in to a television channel or a radio station. Reception is poor. And so it is when attempting to discern messages from those no longer in the body. The signal is always here, dear ones. It [...]

When you have a project to accomplish or perhaps in the normal course of a busy life, the thought may arise:  “I have so much to think about!” And with this comes a bit of angst and tension. Is it any wonder you feel stress? We have a solution. Instead [...]

“Don’t be intimidated.” If you were to hear these words whispered in your ear from on high, what would it mean to you at this time in your life? What are you allowing to hold you back from shining your light brighter and accomplishing your goals? To whom or what [...]

When you get in the habit of living one way or doing things a certain way, it can be quite challenging to change. Momentum takes over and it feels far easier to simply continue as you have been. What to do? Find a quiet space in place and state and [...]

“I don’t know, but Spirit does.” May this be a phrase that comes to mind when you are stumped. This does not mean that there is a higher being with all the answers. It means that you are part of an indivisible web of connections, and as you trust your [...]

The mind wanders as it will. One moment you are focused on an objective and the next thing you notice is a completely new topic running through the mind. And that is what the mind does. So, put a pen in your hand and a piece of paper beneath it. [...]

In that moment when you absolutely must buy that item before you, what is it that you are seeking? Pleasure, of course. And you are giving that item the power to bring you that pleasure. And then it sits on a shelf or in a closet, eclipsed by the next [...]

Here, with the hand on the belly, is the center of Awareness in all its complexity, with all its diversity … perceived here, now, through this focus, this locus, with no hocus pocus at all. That is right: There is no magic in discerning higher truths and connecting with higher [...]

They are not dead. The body is no more, but the heart and mind you know and love lives on. You know this in your heart. Some call this denial to insist they cannot die. All depends upon perspective. From the human point of view, the earthly experience in a [...]

What does it mean to be “in your own little world?” You are part of something so vast that the human mind cannot wrap its head around it. And so, you use attention to focus outward and inward like the lens of a camera. At times you narrow the focus [...]

We are always with you. And who is this “we”? We are beings of light at a higher level of coherency than that which you normally experience whilst in a human body. And if you cannot see us or hear us, can you trust that you are guided and helped? [...]

At times it takes a wake-up call to shake you out of your reverie, dear soul. This often comes in the form of the death of a loved one or perhaps a diagnosis that causes you to question your long-held understanding about what life is all about. But you do [...]

Are you a teacher? In everything you do. It may not be your profession, but every time you share words or actions with another, be they in person or through your emails and electronic media, you are teaching by example. People believe what you say and what they read. Be [...]

Do not just look at nature. Immerse yourself in it. Be the tree. Be the flower. Be the moss, and the butterfly, and the bird. Be the cloud. Do not just imagine. Know your Self as all of this. Sit in it. Sit with this Awareness. This, dear one, is [...]

Can you find that perfect balance between taking care of the self and serving others? There are many beliefs about selflessness—that somehow it is wrong to be selfish—but you are a self. It behooves you to take care of your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual selves. Pause often and discern [...]

How often do you take the time to clear your energetic body? It is just as important as cleaning your physical body. Over time, energetic “dirt,” if you will, builds up. Have you endured heartache, fear, or disturbances of late? All of you do in the normal course of being [...]

Imagine you find yourself immersed in a different culture. You do not speak the language and cannot tell your story to all you meet. What is left to do? Why, observe . . . Soak up the local stories with your eyes and taste buds and notice how heightened the [...]

Why do people travel long distances to stare at mountains? It is not just the visual pleasure that arises, it is the sense of power and majesty that is felt. You innately know that you are part of something so much grander than the limited self. You know that such [...]

“I know things that you don’t know.” Oh, the little frisson of pleasure that comes to the human with this thought. Ego loves to withhold, for doing so seems to give you power over another. Yes, there are times when it behooves you not to share certain information with others [...]

When you are harried or rushed, life can easily pass you by. What does this mean? Life is ongoing all around you in this now-moment. Imagine yourself in a car. The illusion is that you are moving past the scenery—going, going, going here and there, when in fact, in every [...]

Travel affords you the opportunity to experience new patterns of energy. Have you thought of it this way? You may think in terms of new sights, sounds, tastes, and smells, but break these down and they are simply frequencies. If you have always listened to classical music, to listen to [...]

And so you prepare for an adventure. You make a list, you check it twice. You pack what you think you will need. And is there not an element of the unknown when you leave familiar territory? There can be fear and excitement at the same time. Death is like [...]

Here we are again. We say this as we give you yet another message to ponder, and perhaps you say this as you open your eyes each morning. Perhaps you say it with a bit of disappointment if you are going through major challenges and are finding it challenging to [...]

Here we are again and here we go again. Do you sometimes tire of Love in Full Expression? If LIFE were all pleasure, fun, and lollipops, why, who would tire of that? And actually, you would, dear one. Pleasure without contrast loses the Joy, which is why Joy dove in [...]

There will be days when you are not so perfect, when you miss the mark you have set for yourself. And these are, like each moment of your life, opportunities for mastery. Mastery of what? Making choices which bring you into balance energetically. When you are out of tune, how [...]

Full speed ahead. Is this how you run your life? For most humans, to do many things at once and do them quickly has become the norm. As the images on your electronic screens speed up, so does your nervous system. Simple awareness will help you reverse this trend. You [...]
