You look upon a body in a coffin and you despair.  You think it is the end.  But that beautiful vessel that you worshipped—with good reason—was solely a dwelling for the aspect of that person you loved.  Could that essence die?  You know in your heart it could not.  And [...]

What is a scrooge?  In your lore it is one who is a bit grumpy, who smiles little, and who brings discouragement to every endeavor.  Why would one be a scrooge?  It is learned behavior, brought on by how one was treated, what one was raised to believe, and a [...]

Is there not a drawer or closet in your dwelling place into which you place your odds and ends for which there is no other place?  In there are things for which you think you may have a need at some future time, with which you cannot bear to part.  Why [...]

Gift box in female hands Giving, giving, giving.  Why do you do it?  At times because your heart so overflows that you want to share that flow with others.  At times because you want something in return.  Two sides of a coin again, is it not?  Do you [...]

Be cautious when dealing with others who radiate lower energy.  It is quite easy for the human to lower their own energy to match that of others.  Before you know it, you are saying things you would not normally say, walking in step with those who do now know Love [...]

There is power, and there is Power.  One is of the ego, the other of God … of Spirit.  You HAVE an ego, but you ARE an expression of Spirit, therefore you ARE Spirit.  You are not the ego.  Any human power that you seek or believe that you have [...]

“Catch me!  I feel as if I’m falling!” you cry to Spirit, and in that moment of recognition that you have allowed yourself to get out of balance, fall some more.  The slightest shift as you fall will take you from falling off center to falling into the arms of [...]

Your friends are your greatest treasure.  They are there to listen to you, to share your ups and downs.  They rarely criticize you, instead giving you support no matter what.  Friends:  you count on them to love you and to be there for you.  Do you realize that the human [...]

“Nine times out of ten” … yet another expression you have.  This one explains the certainty you have that a thing will occur.  You are predicting behavior or events based upon past history.  And what of the tenth event?  Why will it occur differently?  For there will be one brave [...]

“Never before have I …”  Ah, then you are in for a new experience.  Are you ready?  Why does the human often shrink from newness?  It is fear:  of the unknown, of being ridiculed, wrong, or any other host of very human reasons.  What if you knew you could not [...]

What is a dwelling?  A building, a home, an abode where you stay for a while.  It is a firm structure that houses you.  What does one do in a dwelling?  One dwells there.  Now, what happens when you have a painful experience or one that puffs you up?  Pain [...]

A warning to those on the spiritual path:  It may lead you away from life-long likes and past-times.  Television shows and books that you used to enjoy no longer appeal to you.  That which tickled your fancy now turns your stomach.  You no longer find delight in shoot-‘em-up scenes or [...]

Special surroundings … what makes them special?  They give you exactly what you need to find balance.  For some it is being in nature.  For others it is a room of your own where you find solitude and feel peace.  We dare say if you look around in that place, [...]

Wishes do not always come true. “Why not?” you ask with a bit of petulance like a child, and this is important. When you were a child, did you not at times wish for things that were not good for you? Did not some wiser being try to tell you [...]

Say yes. The initial response of the human when asked to do something that requires effort is to say no. Say yes when? After taking a moment to go within, shifting awareness away from your human concerns, and becoming aware of the part of you that is eternal. In this [...]

“What would others think?” you wonder, and this is how belief systems become ingrained.  What you experience as reality is held in place by consciousness, which is an energy of sorts.  Patterns of consciousness eventually create form and hold it in place.  All is energy.  Matter is energy held in [...]

And so, you hear of some who were killed in what seems a random fashion … an accident or so-called “act of God,” and this brings a bit of fright.  “That could have been me,” you think as you realize how quickly life can change and death can come.  Of [...]

An obituary – such a final thing … or so you think.  How to encapsulate a life in a few lines of space?  It is nearly impossible, for the real you cannot be confined to time and space.  The human you is a bit like a story, but there is [...]

“When you wish upon a star, dreams come true where’re you are.”  This is like a fairy tale to you, is it not?  A story learned in your childhood, which filled you with excitement.  And now, in your later years, all grown up, you smile wistfully—and some of you bitterly—and [...]

“Oh, I shouldn’t be doing that,” you think.  And why does this occur to you?  It is your conscience speaking.  What is this thing called conscience?  It is the loving voice of your intuition guiding you when ego tries to steer you away from unity.  Unity with what?  The [...]

What is your motive?  This is the question to ask yourself whenever you doubt your actions.  “Should I be doing this?  Is this the right thing?”  It is an excellent question to ask when you are experiencing that oh so human emotion of guilt.  Are you motivated by love and [...]

“Am I doing okay?” you ask, and you are looking for encouragement … validation.  From whence springs this need to ask another what the soul knows?  You are fine.  You are valid.  You are fully loved.  Is that not what you wish to hear?  Only when you rise above the [...]

Have we told you lately how special you are?  Have we told you how unique?  There is no one else in the world like you, no one more loved or admired.  There … do you see how these words make you feel?  Better said, do you see how you allow [...]

Do you blindly believe what others tell you?  “My church says …”  “My teacher told me …”  “Did you hear that …?”  Have you not learned by now?  Humans love a story, and the more it is filled with fear or delight, the more the story gets around.  Humans are [...]

Clarity ... You call it shedding more light on a topic.  And what is light, but understanding.  Where there is understanding, you can see all sides of a thing or issue, and thus it is clear ... Transparent.  The opposite is cloudiness, darkness, obscurity.  Let there be Light, you say, [...]

Sometimes you must crawl through a dark tunnel not even knowing you are in a tunnel.  There is certainly no light visible while you work your way forward.  You cannot even tell if you are making progress, but you slog on.  Why?  Because you have no choice.  There you are [...]

“Love them anyway.”  Why is this so hard for you to do when one does not think or act or speak as you like?  Where there is dissonance, you bristle, and immediately you put up a wall.  Do you know that you have just isolated yourself and not the other?  [...]

There is often humor in what you consider the darkest moment.  You often laugh when you want to cry.  This is called grace.  The urge to giggle is a reminder that not all is darkness.  In that moment of Light, look around you and find the love as well.  That [...]
