Life:  One song, many verses, many notes.  Harmony and a bit of disharmony at times for variety.  Chords comprised of several notes played together.  And together, the music plays on, yet it is one.  One song.  Unified.  Uni-verse.  An infinite loop of music arising, notes playing out for the sheer [...]

When you want to do a thing very much so as to prove something to others, examine your motives.  Is it to show how great you are or is it to show others how great they are?  What do you have to prove?  The greatest prayer in this regard is, [...]

The ego is a funny thing.  It can cause one person to be puffed up, or “full of themself” as you say.  It can cause another to be withdrawn and feel unworthy.  Both are human attributes, for the human is the one with the ego as operations manager.  And if [...]

“What do I call my guides?  What do I call my loved ones who have passed, and angels?  Are they real?”  You can call them love, for that is what all that arises from love are — extensions of the Source, created in the image — not an image of [...]

Forget everything you ever knew .. and who are you?  Take away the dreams and memories, and what remains?  It is not nothing.  It may appear to be empty, boring, useless, space.  Far from it.  Far from your seeming humanity, yet as close as your breath is Life.  What is [...]

Why does a topic or an object keep coming up in your life?  Repetition is an attention attention attention getter.  Do you get it?  Why do you choose to ignore these not so subtle subtle subtle signs, nudges, indications that you should pay attention?  Higher Consciousness is trying to get [...]

How could you be anything but This?  Awareness is your very nature since before time began.  Yet, it is so present, so much a part of your being, that you overlook it.  You go seeking through meditation, through spiritual teachers, and books for that illusive God, that illusive Source, that [...]

The body is a suit that you put on.  It is not the real you, the absolute you, the eternal you that never dies.  You know from experiencing the passing of others that the body is impermanent, and this fills so many with fear.  Trust us:  the passing of the [...]

Exclusivity.  Do you think you are the only one to have ever achieved what you have?  Some wish to say this, to claim to be the best.  That is because each of you is here to shine your light in the way that only you can.  Now, how does this [...]

What instead of a list of all the things you wish for, all of the things you would like to change or to have, you had a list of all of the things for which you are grateful?  All this entails is a shift of focus, a movement of attention.  [...]

This is it.  This is the moment you have been waiting for.  This is what Life has presented to you.  Why keep looking toward the future?  Is this not good enough for you?  Then you face the challenge of never being satisfied.  That is the bottom line.  The future is [...]

When you try to figure out how it all works, you can quite easily get stuck in the head.  The mind needs to analyze, judge, and find the logic.  This is only half of how you know how Life work.  The knowing aspect of you has its locus in the [...]

Let it stew for a while.  What does that mean?  You have several ingredients in the mix, and the result could come out in any number of ways, depending upon how things get mixed and how much or little heat you give to that stew.  Ah, are metaphors not the [...]

Yes, life is lived through stories.  Value the story.  Treasure it, but do not become addicted to it, dependent upon it, lulled by it, deluded by it.  How else could Love express itself, enjoy itself, live itself but through a story?  Stories, lives, serve a purpose.  Through them life is [...]

Why does a child play with clay or mud?  To satisfy the innate desire to create, to make something out of nothing.  To make something better out of something at hand.  And why do you exist?  For the self-same reason.  All of life follows this primal urge of creation.  This [...]

Salvation.  The word brings relief and a bit of fear at the same time.  You will be saved!  From what?  The greatest fear for the human is the fear of death.  And what happens when you come to know you cannot and do not die?  Why, this means there must [...]

You consider yourself awakened, for you understand now that all of you are This ... this Awareness that peers out from your eyes.  But here is a new twist:  go back in time as you, the human, understand it.  Go back to a painful period in your life.  If you [...]

You can’t see a way out?  Can you see a way in?  Slide your awareness from the area of the eyes, where you think you are doing all the thinking, and slide that self-same awareness down, down, down into the center of your being.  The heart has its own mind, [...]

Awakening comes and goes for the human.  Just as you drift off to sleep each night or at various times throughout the day, for many people who have touched the hem of full awakening, many slip back into sleepiness and can waver back and forth.  You “get it.”  You understand [...]

Habits die hard, especially old ones.  How old are you?  Then that is likely how old is the habit of thinking you are the body and the mind and that is all you are.  Nothing could be farther from the truth of your being.  Shift from thinking to being and [...]

This ... this Intelligence that organizes and projects all that you see, all that you hear, all that you experience is that Intelligence seeing, hearing, and experiencing through you.  This ... this Intelligence that is already here, that is all that you know, appreciates order.  Where there is seemingly chaos [...]

Ah, the wonder of it all.  Have you lost the wonder at a baby’s cry, the vast blue sky, the mountain high?  Then please ask why.  If you fail to see the beauty and the perfection in nature, then you will fail to see it in yourself as well.  It [...]

Where are you and how are you stuck in the story of your human aspect?  You are well aware that you are a soul and a human.  Perhaps you do your meditating and your yoga and your this and that as part of your spiritual practice, but there is a [...]

This.  Can you think of your Source in that way?  Perhaps this slight change in language will cause a shift in you.  For so long you have heard it said by us and by others that you are That.  What if you were to think, THIS is the consciousness that [...]

We cannot stress enough how much the story of your life is akin to when you watch a movie.  You get so very drawn in to the story that you forget your surroundings.  It is a wonderful escape for a while, for you are no longer focused on your challenges.  What [...]

You cannot sleep?  You awaken in the middle of the night?  What a gift!  But only if and when you dig down under the worries and the racing thoughts and the never-ending story and discover there the pearls of insights, the connections, the reason for it All.  Those nudges, those [...]

Why do you say, “I love that person with all my heart? Instinctively you go to the center of you.  The mind knows you are not speaking of the physical organ that pumps blood, and yet is not the heart one of the most vital organs in the physical body?  [...]

Where do reminders come from — those thoughts that pop into your mind that are so very welcome?  Are they simply firings in the brain?  Could it be that you are part of a web far more vast than you could imagine?  Could it be that other minds are sending [...]

What is fog?  You know it as dense clouds that settle so low that they obscure the view.  Is this not why you claim to be “in a fog” at times when the brain is muddled?  Many things can cause this mental fog:  grief, tiredness, over-exertion.  Whatever the cause, just [...]
