Imagine an orchestra. It is comprised of musicians and their musical instruments. You cannot have an orchestra without both. Musicians sitting in seats without instruments or instruments sitting on chairs without musicians ... either scenario would not produce the end result: a beautiful symphony. And what if some of the [...]
Mediation: when you bring in another to see both sides, hear all opinions, discern a common solution. How often, when typing the word meditation does the t drop out and you are left with the word mediation? Meditation is a most excellent practice to help you experience all apparent things [...]
“Don’t judge a book by its cover.” You know this phrase well, all of you, and yet still you make judgments on appearances. What if you set the goal to see beneath the surface? What would people see in you? If you feel shame at this question, you have [...]
“Does it bring more love?” “Does it add to our unity?” May these be the sort of questions you ask before uttering a word, before taking an action. Should this become your habit in every moment, every day, we dare say you will find your life transformed ... your personal [...]
When one you love has not spoken to you for some time, be it through illness or willfulness, speak to their soul. Do so from the perspective of your soul. You are already in communication in this way at all times, for you have chosen this dance of being human [...]
You measure a child’s growth with a stick and marks on a wall. Over time the marks grow higher and higher until they reach a steady state. What if you could measure the evolution of the soul? Would it go higher and higher or would it go round and round [...]
Look around you. You can choose to see the world in various ways. You can see it solid or pixelated as in the waves of energy that make it up. You can look at your hand and see it the same way. If you are not always solid—according to the [...]
The death of a loved one is a trying time for those on earth, no matter how enlightened you are. You share memories with the one who passes. You share love and concern. Concern yourself at this time with those who do not have the full understanding of this very [...]
Decisions, decisions. You so often make them by weighing options, thinking hard, worrying, asking others for input, and losing sleep. What if you put the options “out there” to an Awareness that has a bigger picture? What if, in full trust, you ask that the greatest good be served? What [...]
Joy bubbles up. Grief bubbles up. Each comes in waves. Can you control the bubbling up? Notice carefully. Each simply arises. Once the arising has occurred, now you co-create what follows. Where does attention go? What if you merely observe each arising? Then you are not knocked off balance by [...]
Come along with me for a ride ... the ride of your life. Why does father say, “Come along, children, let’s get in the car and go for a drive. Maybe we’ll get some ice cream and see some animals!”? It is all about the adventure and the experience. If [...]
How many times do you doubt yourself? You wish to do something, to accomplish some task, to achieve some goal that lies in your heart, yet your thoughts hold you back. You may blame some external cause or some physical weakness, but if you look more closely, again you will [...]
We are all connected by love. It does not matter whether you are in a physical body or have left the body behind, it is love that is the connective cloth. You cannot see the strands when you look with physical eyes, unless by grace you have a glimpse of [...]
How much do you rush about? Do you, perhaps, take a few minutes to sit in the silence and become centered? And then what? Do you rise from your chair and go right back to rushing? What is the hurry? Are you trying to fit it all in? There is [...]
This concept of worthiness … It is a human thing. It is no-thing at all at the level of the soul. You are the Light in expression. The Light IS. The light shines and shines and shines. Is light worthy or unworthy? “Yes, but ...” you say. As you catch [...]
Grief is like clouds across the sky. They block the sun that is always there. At times the sky is fully covered by the clouds. At other times the sun can peek through. And yet at other times there are only a few clouds or none at all. Grief is [...]
It is with gratitude that I share this post by guest blogger Sally Stacey. Sally is the affiliate leader of the Boca Raton, Florida, chapter of Helping Parents Heal. We enjoyed an insightful phone conversation yesterday in which Sally expressed her concern about some misperceptions that many newly bereaved parents [...]
A door is stuck, and so you push. You exert greater and greater force until it pops loose, and you almost fall forward. Why the force? This is what you have been taught to do: push harder. And it works with physical things, but does it work when interacting with [...]
Those across the veil see you. They are aware of your thoughts and actions. This ability is available to them for they no longer have the dense physical body or the rules of physical reality to live by. It is quite freeing to know they are no longer bound by [...]
How often do humans judge others for the very things you do yourself? It is ego’s way of deflecting blame and game. This is seen most often in those you live with. You don’t believe us? The next time you cast aspersions on one you love, think carefully about the [...]
What you give out comes back to you. Yes, like a boomerang. It may wobble a bit in flight and land not back in your hand at first. At times you have to move forward and pick up the boomerang as the result of a throw gone awry. That is [...]
