And so, you become discouraged as you read your headlines. Yet more killing

Perhaps you feel unsafe and filled with fear.
This is no way to begin a new year.
And in a way, does it not also fill you with resolve
That there is yet more work to be done for all to evolve?
This is the path you have chosen, dear soul.
There are many who do not know that you are already whole.
And until the time does come
That all pray together, “May Thy will be done,”
Then may you personally choose what is good and right
And vow to turn up your own inner light.
