Why do you hesitate to make the first move? When at a gathering, do you hold back or walk up to another with a warm greeting? If the former, then perhaps you are exhibiting learned behavior that is part and parcel of being in a human body. You have learned to self-protect. You project possible outcomes that cause you to resist rejection. And what if you were to remember you are a soul having a human experience? And what if you then saw the beautiful soul behind the facade of that apparent other who may be feeling as awkward as you are. Why then, beautiful soul, you would greet each other as old friends, even if you had never met in this incarnation. You would shine brightly upon each other without the human need to outshine anyone, knowing there is nothing but the light.

I just find I end up saying too much or I’m not listening well enough anymore but I never feel heard by those around me. I slip in and out of the depression and I’m just trying to clean my house but it’s overwhelming lately. I can’t be everything anymore I’m just one person who is lost inside herself.

Many years ago, this one day I went to a grocery store for our or two items. By the time I was ready to check out my arms were full and could hardly carry it all. I saw another lady with arms full of items. I went up to her and with a laugh asked her if she came in for one or two items too. She said yes. We laughed together. I really felt like we were two souls laughing about this human experience.
