Picture a wheel.  Which part of it spins the fastest in relation to the center?  The circumference, of course.  When do you suffer?  When you are not centered.  Are you suffering now?  You have allowed your focus to move outward, outward, outward, forgetting that there is a still point within [...]

What does it mean to fixate on something?  To focus on it to the exclusion of all else.  When you fixate upon a thing you lose sight of the bigger picture.  Thoughts filled with fear or anger or judgment or any of the lesser human traits are then attracted like [...]

Just when you think you have regained your balance, something happens and you get knocked off balance again.  What happened?  You ran into a cross-current.  Until you are so strongly flowing in the main current of Love-Life-Joy, it is quite easy to veer off as you encounter strong eddies.  Do [...]

Worry is wasted effort.  You could spend the energy your mind burns in fearing the future and fretting about the past in far more productive ways.  How, you ask?  Take the focus off the chatter and move it down into the heart center.  Now focus on the breath as it [...]

You are given infinite opportunities to BE that which you are:  Love.  We are not speaking of unconditional love, nor are we speaking of conditional love.  Both of those are two poles of one spectrum within your world of opposites.  Rise above the duality and there you find myriad transcendent [...]

Blink, why don’t you, and in that instant of blinking, see the one before you and the sights around you as if nothing had been before you before you blinked.  What if, while blinking, you landed in a foreign land?  You open your eyes from the blink and all you [...]

Can you stop and take a breath with deliberate intent from time to time?  If the intent when you pause to breathe deeply is to reconnect in awareness with Awareness, you will no longer need a tranquilizer, a cigarette, a sugary sweet, or a drink of alcohol.  The latter are [...]

You are so very loved.  Why do these words feel so very delicious?  For they are like chocolate—a food you call a treat … something you eat only on occasion, not for an entire meal.  What if you were to feast on love at all times?  Unlike doing so with [...]

Fluid.  The word implies flow.  It implies seeping into every space where normally one would not go, the nooks and crannies one would miss if one held fast to a single point of view.  Can you release that one-pointed mind-set and vision and be fluid, instead?  You may discover new [...]

Nowhere to go.  Nothing to do.  Oh, really?  Think outside the box and step outside the box of habit.  You are an artist with a blank canvas.  Must you always draw the same picture, use the same crayons, follow the same lines?  Where have you never been?  If you cannot [...]

Fear is like a wildfire.  It starts in one place and then spreads rapidly, at times out of control.  It waits in certain spots, gathering oxygen and just the right conditions to spread some more.  Without the fuel, it cannot spread.  Your thoughts are the fuel.  Fear feeds on fear.  [...]

You contain the entire world within you, and then some.  All possibilities lie resident in your consciousness.  Some lie below the radar, others come up on the screen as blips, and some as solid masses to be avoided.  What you are aware of, you can heal.  Fear nothing.  Fear is [...]

You never act alone.  When you set your mind to something that will serve the greater good, when that is your intent, you are given helpers at the higher levels.  They will accompany you as you set about your task.  You may not see or hear or feel them, but [...]

You go forth and you try something new.  Either you say, “How about that!  What a success!” Or you say, “Well, that didn’t work.”  Either case is what you call feedback.  Life in your current model is a series of nested feedback loops.  Ultimately, there is only one “I” having [...]

If you knew everything at once, it would be “game over.”  How things play out, how things interact is part of the game.  To use the word “game” implies a disrespect for the process of creation and evolution.  This is not intended.  What is a game, but an interaction of [...]

Roles change.  Love remains.  As you dance through life, those who come and go into your circle of love change.  That is how it is supposed to go.  Through change you learn and grow, but the one constant is that love.  If the love you are experiencing seems to change, [...]

Magnets:  Hold two of them in close proximity.  In the seemingly empty space between them there is a dance going on.  There is an exchange of energy, even when you cannot see it.  There is attraction or repulsion depending on which sides face each other.  Thus ensues a dance.  Are [...]

You meet a new friend.  It appears you have little in common.  Do you want to try an experiment?  Pause for a moment and wonder what you might have in common.  All of you are interconnected at a higher level.  You speak of your six degrees of separation.  In that [...]

Do you stand your ground or go along with the crowd?  That depends on motive.  What will serve the greatest good?  Is your motive self-serving or Self-serving?  Quite often individuals must make sacrifices for the good of the whole.  This too shall pass.  Hold in your heart the awareness that [...]

You hear a word that is unfamiliar to you, and within a short period of time you encounter that word.  This happens repeatedly with signs, with images, with names.  What is happening?  You are being shown that you are part of a vast web that extends far beyond the reach [...]

You can learn a lot from a puppy.  Look how she greets everyone with such joy.  Each one is her new best friend.  She does not see them as a threat, a competitor, a stranger. Not at all!  This is someone to get to know!  How exciting!  What fun can [...]

The yin yang symbol so beautifully expresses the human experience.  Within the wholeness exist all possibilities.  Some you would label good and some bad, yet they all fit together on a continuum of experience.  These apparent opposites dance together until they somehow find a way to exist side by side, [...]

If you could and would see with the eyes of the soul, you would see quite a different landscape.  You would see brothers and sisters greeting each other with no suspicion.  They would smile in recognition and knowing that they share the same Source and that their differences are part [...]

Old friends.  You can go a while in your human time without seeing or talking with each other and it seems as if no time at all has passed.  That is because you know each other intimately at a soul level.  There is no time or distance to the soul.  [...]

Crutches.  They assist you when one of your legs is not weight-bearing.  There are many other crutches in the human’s closet.  Alcohol, sugar, and drugs are the crutches many turn to when they cannot bear the weight of human challenges.  Even spiritual workers can become dependent upon crutches such as [...]

Boundaries.  They help you to feel safe and protected.  The world can seem quite large at times.  You seek the familiar.  Coziness.  Why do you pull the covers over your head?  There is an innate push and pull going on within—a tug of war between wanting to explore and wanting [...]

If you don’t venture beyond your shores and the common wisdom of the day tells you the world is flat, you will accept this as truth.  You will feel fear or perhaps laugh if others tell you something that differs from what the collective has agreed upon.  It takes courage [...]

New beginnings begin every moment.  And so, you messed up.  You can tread water for a while, working hard to stay in that muddied water and relive your mistake as the victim of your ignorance, or you can let go and get back into the flow, a bit more aware, [...]

You are all involved in a great cosmic dance.  One partner takes a step and the other must make an equal and opposite step, yet at the same time they are moving as one unit.  Within the opposites is an inherent wholeness.  Find the common ground with those who appear [...]
