When the defenses go up, rest assured that overlays are obscuring your true essence. What are you defending when you become angry, offended, insulted, and cannot let go of another's comments? A story, dear one. How tightly do you wish to hold onto something that is ephemeral? Would it not be a better choice to find that which never changes, most especially if this brings peace and freedom from the very behaviors listed above? Step back when the defensive walls go up and see them from beyond the story. This is your "get out of jail free card."
