You give far too much credit to the brain for your thoughts. Oh, do not misunderstand us: the brain is a divine instrument, and like the Divine, it remains largely a mystery. Our point is that even in what you call the modern age, many continue to believe that thoughts arise from the brain . . . that memories are stored in the head like photo albums in an attic. Far from it, dear soul! Thoughts and memories, sensations and feelings arise from one unified field from which all experiences, including the brain, arise. This you will truly understand when the body and brain no longer function and you are still enjoying thoughts and experience. Think about that, why don't you.
